INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS Poster materials will be displayed on a 114 x 122 cm (width x height)
white board. All the materials necessary for attaching the poster to
the poster board will be provided. The poster sessions have been divided
for two days. Presenters are kindly requested to set up their posters
at 8-10 AM. Oral presentations are allocated 15 minutes, including 5 minutes for discussion. Computer with internet access, dataprojector, overhead projector and slide projector are available for speakers.
The conference is open for free oral and poster presentations. Abstracts can relate to any field of epidemiologic research. Deadline for submission is April 30, 2004. The presenting author will be notified by e-mail about the acceptance of the abstract within two weeks of submission. Maximum word count of an abstract is 300 words. Leave one blank line between the title and the authors and affiliations (institute, city, country). Underline the name of the presenting author of the paper. The abstracts should be structured according to the headings: background, methods, results and conclusion. A maximum of 5 references can be included in the abstract. The references should be arranged according to the Vancouver style and referenced in text by consecutive numbers in parentheses. Please e-mail the abstract in Rich Text Format (RTF) as an attached file to Scientific Secretaries Maarit Korhonen or Tiina Rissanen. In your e-mail message, indicate the field(s) of epidemiology the abstract is related to and whether you prefer an oral or poster presentation. For Baltic participants applying for financial support, the deadline for abstract submission is March 15, 2004. Please state clearly that you are applying for support.
