3rd Nordic Conference in Epidemiology
17-19 June 2004
Organized by The Finnish Society of Epidemiology in collaboration with
the Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Icelandic Epidemiological Societies
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
We have great pleasure in inviting you to attend the 3rd Nordic Conference
in Epidemiology. The conference will take place in Kuopio, in the heart
of Lakeland Finland, on June 17-19, 2004.
This conference will provide an excellent opportunity for experienced
researchers as well as junior epidemiologists to meet and exchange their
knowledge, experience and new research findings.
We are fortunate to have several acknowledged epidemiologists to give
plenary lectures on theoretical and methodological issues of epidemiology
that are of interest to every epidemiologist. In addition, the scientific
programme includes state-of-the-art lectures and seminar presentations
devoted to specific topics in epidemiology, such as genetic, environmental,
cancer, geriatric and social epidemiology.
Free communications for oral or poster presentation from all fields
of epidemiology are welcome. Abstracts can be submitted until 31 March,
2004.
The conference will offer a great opportunity to visit the beautiful
city of Kuopio. The social programme includes a boat cruise on Lake
Kallavesi to a traditional Finnish Lumberjacks' lodge.
